Privacy & Data Handling
MuzAtlas is a hobby project that maps where musical artists are from and where they started their careers, using public, Spotify-derived artist data. This page explains, in plain language, what data the site holds and what you can do about it. It is intentionally short.
What this site is
A personal project that builds an interactive map of musical talent by region. The map and dashboard are open to everyone and need no sign-in.
What data is collected
For the public map, the site holds Spotify-derived public artist information — artist name, genres, popularity, and follower counts — together with AI-researched location and career metadata about each artist.
Signing in with Spotify is paused. User-submitted corrections are coming soon.
Why it is collected
The artist data is used to build the public map and dashboard. Your data is never sold or shared.
Where it is stored
Everything lives in a single SQLite database on the operator's own machine. There is no third-party analytics service and no advertising network involved.
Retention & deletion
Data is kept while the project is running. Questions about it can go to xavaarczyq@gmail.com.
